Special Needs singing and rhythmic sessions

Donna supports the work of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). She regularly conducts singing, piano and rhythmic sessions with special needs adults on a flexible basis.

The sessions are purely for enjoyment and utilise relevant therapeutic methods to explore where music can take the student.

Sessions are conducted collaboratively and involve singing and playing at the piano, as well as with backing tracks. Along with a variety of percussive instruments, we explore rhythm, melody and repertoire and develop a program together which aligns best to the student’s preferences.

Some students love to make their own CD’s and give them to friends as gifts. This is a very fulfilling and fun process for everyone involved.

Sessions are 30 minutes long and are held early afternoons, Monday to Friday.
